Bridge refurbishment at Kempsey

Transport for New South Wales (TfNSW) is undertaking bridge refurbishment work on Bloomfield Street, Kempsey.

Works are being completed by TfNSW’s contractor, John Holland Rail (JHR), as part of the NSW Government’s rail infrastructure program across the country rail network.

Why is the work being completed?

The rail over bridge on Bloomfield Street, Kempsey require several structural improvements to ensure continued safe access for the community and safe passage for trains along the railway line.

 

When will work commence?

Construction is scheduled to commence from Tuesday 7th February to Wednesday 15th February 2017, subject to final approvals and weather conditions. Site operations will run from Monday to Sunday, 6:30am to 5:00pm.

 

How will I be affected?

Bloomfield Street, Kempsey will be closed to traffic during construction hours and detours installed via Middleton and Queen Streets. Trailer mounted signage boards will be installed at Bloomfield Street, Kempsey to advertise of the road closure. 

There may be some noise and extra vehicle movements associated with this work—however, we will endeavour to minimise disruption wherever possible. We thank you for your patience while this essential work is completed.
